  1. recognize the CONTEXT historically / dispensationally, book-wise, and passage-wise.

  2. study the CONTENT of the passage both grammatically and syntactically.

  3. COMPARE Scripture with Scripture.

  4. CONSIDER any particular principles of interpretation that may apply.

  5. CONSULT commentaries to observe various viewpoints on the passage.

  6. CONTEMPLATE the pro’s and con’s of the views.

  7. CONCLUDE by determining the best interpretation, which should be thoroughly biblical and logical.
